Hunter Biden, who is the son of President Joe Biden, was seen leaving a closed-door interview in Washington, D.C. with his lawyer Abbe Lowell during a Republican-led investigation into the Biden family.

The trial for Hunter Biden's federal gun charge is set to take place on June 3.

According to the court docket, a federal judge in Delaware has reserved the dates of June 3 and June 10 for a jury trial.

CBS News It has been reported that the judge is currently reviewing motions, including one filed by Hunter Biden to dismiss the case. His attorney, Abbe Lowell, expressed belief that the case may not go to trial and could be dismissed by the judge based on diversion and a plea agreement.

He was indicted in September on charges related to his purchase of a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver from a licensed firearms dealer in 2018, during a period of drug use. Law&Crime Authorities allege that he made a false written statement on a federal form during the purchase, indicating that he was not unlawfully using or addicted to any controlled substance.

As Law&Crime As per recent reports, he has offered additional authorities to the judge in an attempt to discredit the case, claiming it was selectively and vindictively brought by special counsel David Weiss, whom he compared to a tool of Russian intelligence.

Referring to an FBI informant's indictment for allegedly making false bribery claims against Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, the president’s son claimed that Weiss was aware for years that the accusations were baseless but initiated an investigation after pressure from congressional Republicans. Subsequently, after prosecutors went back on a plea agreement, Weiss was appointed as special counsel and intensified the probe to secure indictments for gun and tax offenses.

Hunter Biden, aged 54, has faced scrutiny due to his struggles with addiction to alcohol and crack cocaine.

Federal prosecutors have been looking into his activities. financesHe has been the subject of numerous investigations by Senate Republicans, particularly regarding his overseas business dealings, including his role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings.
