The body of a missing University of Missouri college student has been discovered in the Cumberland River in west Nashville.

Nashville authorities announced the finding approximately two hours after the body was discovered in the river in the city’s The Nations neighborhood.

Police Chief John Drake stated that the body was still in the same black and white shirt and wearing his black Apple watch as when he went missing.

He mentioned, “At the moment, there are no indications of criminal activity.”

Drake mentioned that an employee from a neighboring company spotted the body and alerted the fire department. He also mentioned that the crews planned to search that area of the river later today.

An examination of the body is pending. The body was located about 8 miles from where Strain disappeared in downtown Nashville.

22-year-old Strain vanished on March 8 while out with his fraternity brothers during a conference in Nashville. Strain was asked to leave Luke’s 32 Bridge bar, owned by country star Luke Bryan, who stated that his “behavior” violated standards, without providing further details. according to CrimeOnline.

His fraternity brothers remained at the bar after he was escorted out, although one followed him downstairs to the front door before returning to his other friends. They reported him missing nearly 16 hours later.

Luke’s 32 Bridge mentioned that they served Strain one alcoholic beverage that night, but there were reports that he and his friends had been to at least two other bars before arriving there.

Strain was observed on security footage after leaving the bar, and also on a Nashville police officer’s body camera footage.
