A Pennsylvania man was sent to jail on Monday for leaping over a post office counter and assaulting a postal worker until they lost consciousness due to his undelivered package.

Police from Susquehanna Regional responded to a call at Marietta Post Office around 1 p.m. about a postal worker who was found injured and bleeding behind the counter. WHP reported..

They found the victim, who was disoriented and injured, and explained that the assailant jumped over the counter and hit them multiple times, leading to them losing consciousness. The victim stated that the attacker was upset because he had not received a package he was expecting.

The suspect, 27-year-old James Moore, was apprehended at the scene by the arriving officers without any trouble.

According to court records, Moore remained in custody on Tuesday after failing to post a $200,000 bail. He is facing charges of aggravated assault.
