The effort to find a North Carolina woman who is missing has shifted to Florida following the discovery of her car in that location earlier this week.
Shelby Campbell, 28,’s relatives have submitted missing persons reports in both her home state and Broward County, Florida, where her vehicle was located. WTVD reports.
According to WTVD, Campbell vanished from her residence in Harnett County, North Carolina, on March 21. Her mother, Shelia Dorsett, mentioned that she might have left willingly, although it is out of character for her to go several days without getting in touch with anyone.
Authorities told Dorsett that two men were using the car when it was found in Florida.
“We don’t have any knowledge about them, and we don’t have family there. We don’t have any connections there. Therefore, we are considering these individuals as strangers,” she stated.
Campbell, who is a former member of the US Air Force and has a 4-year-old child, was given a medical discharge due to multiple sclerosis. Dorsett flew to Florida this week to talk directly with law enforcement and aid in the search for her daughter.
“I would go to great lengths for her,” Dorsett remarked. “And I won’t give up on looking until you come home.”
