An arrest was made on Wednesday for a Texas mother after an inquiry into the passing of her 3-month-old infant earlier this month.
Brittney Alisha Bailey, 31, is facing charges solely for causing harm to a child, in connection to injuries discovered on the deceased baby’s twin sibling.
Police in Austin received a request to attend an apartment on March 10 due to a medical emergency concerning a baby who was not breathing. They swiftly transported the baby to a hospital, but sadly, the infant passed away five days later.
Authorities reported finding non-accidental injuries on the twin sister. They stated that they were investigating the death as a potential homicide, but have not provided further details, including any possibility of additional charges.
Bailey is currently in custody for the injury to a child offense, and is being held without bond, as indicated by jail records.
