Investigators in Washington state think they discovered the body of a 4-year-old boy who was reported missing this week in suspicious circumstances.
The body, believed to belong to Ariel Garcia, was discovered shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday outside Everett, where the boy was reported missing Wednesday morning, KOMO reported.
As CrimeOnline reported, Garcia was last seen leaving an apartment just south of downtown Everett with a family member. Police mentioned that they found the boy’s mother on Thursday but did not issue an Amber Alert due to lack of a suspect.
Authorities informed KOMO that Garcia’s family had been notified about the discovery and that the cause and manner of death would be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. Everett Police stated that they were treating the death as a homicide.
They stated that more details would be revealed on Friday.
