A man from Texas is alleged to have stabbed a woman in the neck and then attempted to take her to Mexico, where she thought he would harm her. KBTX-TV reports.

Around 11 a.m. on Friday, the police in College Station received a call from a father in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He had got concerning text messages from his daughter asking him to contact the police for assistance.

Officers located the woman and her captor, 21-year-old Francisco Celis, at a CVS in College Station, after tracking the woman’s phone.

The woman's neck and hand were injured, and she had to be taken to the hospital.

The woman reportedly informed the police that Celis choked her, used a pair of scissors to stab her neck, and then threatened to kill her if she made any noise.

Celis allegedly compelled the victim to get into his vehicle so they could go to Mexico, where she feared he would kill her.

Officials found bloody scissors in Celis' vehicle. Inside the woman's home, police discovered bloodstains and signs of a struggle. They also found a handwritten farewell or suicide letter that the woman claimed she was forced to write.

Celis, from Forth Worth, and the woman had been in a relationship for about one year and three months, mostly at a long distance. He purportedly confessed to stabbing the victim, then took her to the CVS so she could obtain a bandage for her injury.

Authorities have placed Celis in the Brazos County Detention Center on an $800,000 bond for charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping with intent to inflict bodily injury, as per CrimeOnline's records.
