According to prosecutors, the 54-year-old grandmother, who is accused of killing Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, supposedly confessed to her part in the murders in a recorded statement after her arrest, as mentioned in a motion to detain her without bail.

At the end of the motion, Texas County District Attorney George H. Leach mentioned that after her arrest, Tifany Adams provided a recorded statement to law enforcement indicating her responsibility for the deaths of the two women.

Butler, 27, and Kelley, 39, vanished on March 30 while traveling from Kansas to pick up Butler’s children from Adams for a scheduled, supervised visit, as reported by CrimeOnline. as CrimeOnline reportedAdams, her boyfriend Tad Cullum, and married couple Cole and Cora Twombly were arrested on April 13 and charged with murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.

The bodies of Butler and Kelley were discovered the following day on land that Cullum had been leasing for pasture.

Leach said that Adams poses a “continuing threat to society” due to the aggravated circumstances of the murders and her “sheer callousness.”

The safety of the community, including the witnesses and Court personnel involved in this case, could not be ensured by any conditions, according to him.

Adams and her co-defendants were ordered to be held without bail. Adams, Cullum, and Cole Twombly indicated that they would hire attorneys to represent them; Cora Twombly stated that she couldn’t afford an attorney, and the judge assigned a public defender for her.

The defendants are scheduled to appear in court again on May 15.
