People in the area are talking about it after a woman's body was found in a trash can in California last week.

According to KNBC, the police in Los Angeles were called to a Sunland neighborhood on Tuesday about possible human remains in a trash can. They found a body in the trash can, and the L.A. A person told KNBC that the trash can had been placed on their property. They moved it to the street without knowing there was a body inside.

“I saw that it was a trash can tipped over on its face and I could smell something not right right away,” the individual explained.

The person said the trash can smelled bad, was tied with a zip tie, and had the serial number scratched off. They contacted the police and sanitation about the trash can, which led to the discovery of Haas’ body.

According to KNBC, investigators said the body was severely decomposed. KABC reported that the body was inside a Burton snowboarding bag. Officials have not revealed how Haas died. The case remains under investigation..
