The police in Roberson County are investigating her death, but her husband, John-Paul Miller, claims she did it herself. In October 2023, Mica Miller filed for divorce, as per court records from The New York Post. Her family also said she requested a no-contact order days before she died, according to The Robesonian.

John-Paul Miller — a pastor at Solid Rock Church — said his late wife suffered from mental health issues for years. However, Kenn Young, a friend of Mica Miller’s, suggested there may be more to it.
“This has to be at least looked into deeply. There’s got to be some accountability here,” Young told WCNC. “Because yeah, a tragic life was lost, and it’s not just as simple as mental health issues.”
