The police in Kansas are asking for information regarding a missing mother and her infant son who might be in a risky situation, as per the Great Bend Police Department.
Family members reported that Crystal M. Demoss, 32 years old, and her baby went missing on May 5 from the Great Bend area after Demoss was last spotted on May 2. The Great Bend Post states that Police Chief Steve Haulmark verified this earlier in the week they might be in danger.
“Several locations were searched and there has been no communication with DEMOSS or her infant son,” GBPD stated on a missing persons notice.
The police found Demoss’ car at the home of the baby’s father, identified as 25-year-old Tyler Epp. He was subsequently apprehended by the police on unrelated charges, including suspicion of criminal use of weapons and possession of marijuana.
“It’s kind of a odd situation. A person who is part of the investigation is a previously convicted criminal. He was apprehended for a few offenses, including being in possession of a firearm,” Haulmark mentioned.
Crystal is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
