A New York woman had both of her feet severed when her boyfriend pushed her onto subway tracks in Manhattan on Saturday.
New York police stated that the 29-year-old woman was struck by a southbound No. 3 train at the Fulton Street station in lower Manhattan, WABC reported. Upon police arrival, she was awake and alert but was quickly taken to the hospital, where both feet were surgically removed.
Authorities said that the woman and her boyfriend argued, and he pushed her onto the tracks in front of the train before fleeing.
The woman, whose identity was not disclosed, was said to be in stable condition at New York City Health and Hospital Bellevue.
According to radio station WINS, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m.
The boyfriend has not been located.
