Officials searching for a Missouri college student who was asked to leave a bar in Nashville a week ago have discovered his bank card on an embankment along the Cumberland River.
Riley Strain, 22, was removed from Luke’s 32 Bridge, a bar owned by country star Luke Bryan, on Broadway, shortly after 9:30 p.m. on March 8. His friends stayed in the bar and did not leave with him after the bar's security decided to escort him out due to his behavior. WKRN stated..
According to the bar, one of his friends briefly followed him downstairs but returned to the others after Strain left. It was noted that he had consumed one alcoholic beverage and two waters while at the bar.
It is unclear where Strain and his friends were prior to their visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge.
Surveillance footage depicted Strain stumbling in a parking lot shortly after being escorted out, then crossing the street, as reported by CrimeOnline. WKRN reported that Strain's phone last registered a signal just before 10 p.m. near James Robertson Parkway and Gay Street, and he apparently had a conversation with one of his friends at that time. However, the signal was not specific enough to determine his exact location or direction..
One of Strain’s friends contacted 911 to report him missing the following day.
Prior to the discovery of Strain's bank card, authorities were summoned to the river for a body. Despite this, the Nashville Fire Department clarified that the body did not match Strain’s description.
Strain was in Nashville for a fraternity conference with some of his classmates.
