An Alabama man was arrested this week after law enforcement officers found that he was concealing close to 200 fentanyl pills inside plastic Easter eggs.
The Colbert County Sheriff’s Office reported that Jamarious Dequan Qualls was apprehended during a traffic stop on Monday in Tuscumbia, Alabama. WAFF reported.
Qualls was a passenger in the vehicle that was pulled over, and deputies were granted permission to search it. They discovered 176 pills inside the plastic eggs, and also found a plastic bag containing an ounce of synthetic cannabis known as “spice.”
Qualls faces charges of drug trafficking and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
He is currently being detained on a $150,000 bond.
