A suspected drunk driver crashed into the building where a birthday party was happening on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of an 8-year-old Michigan girl and her 5-year-old brother.
According to Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough, three children and six adults suffered severe injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance or medical helicopters. Additional individuals received treatment in private vehicles. As reported by The Monroe News.

The vehicle, driven by a 66-year-old woman, crashed into the northern wall of the building and came to a stop approximately 25 feet inside. The woman, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death. Goodnough indicated that further charges are anticipated.
The surveillance footage indicated that the vehicle was speeding across the parking area just prior to the collision.
