A California judge will decide on May 10 whether there is enough evidence to try a woman, her brother, and their pastor father for allegedly killing her 3-year-old daughter in a so-called exorcism.

A California On May 10, a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence to try a woman, her brother, and their pastor father for allegedly killing her 3-year-old daughter in a so-called exorcism in which they forcefully held her and repeatedly tried to make her vomit. exorcism Firefighters discovered young Arely Naomi Proctor dead on the altar of Iglesia Apostoles y Profetas in San Jose on Sept. 24, 2021, with an array of injuries, according to court documents obtained by San Francisco CW affiliate.

Her mother allegedly spoke to cops, claiming to have talked to God for three weeks before Arely died. KRONThe prosecution wrote, “Claudia was told by God that this was happening because she was never meant to be a mother.”

The mother, her brother Rene “Aaron” Hernandez Santos, 20, and their father, Rene Trigueros Hernandez, face charges of felony assault on a child under 8, causing death.

Rene, the uncle, allegedly admitted that the event led to Arely's death.

Documents stated, “It was possible that the way he was holding her caused Arely to die. There were times when God would tell him to squeeze her harder. Arely’s death made him question his gift to heal.”

The documents suggested that Claudia likely delivered the fatal blow by grabbing the 3-year-old’s neck.

The uncle, who became a preacher after the incident, allegedly claimed to have received gifts from God, including speaking in tongues, interpreting them, healing, seeing visions, and “the gifts of reprimanding.”

The prosecution stated that Arely resisted while the adults held her in a “superman” position above the floor at the church.

Even though the daughter told her mother “I love you,” Claudia still believed her to be possessed, according to the state.

The prosecutor said, “After Arely threw up, they put her on the floor. Claudia said this is when Arely stopped breathing. She said God made her understand that Arely was not coming back and was gone.”

Arely suffered brain swelling, blood in the lungs, marks on her neck, and injuries inside her mouth, according to authorities.

Claudia Hernandez allegedly told investigators that her daughter was truly possessed.

The mother allegedly said, “I believe she was possessed, you know, ’cause I go to church.” The brother also believed Arely to be possessed.

The grandfather allegedly told authorities that he believed everything his daughter said to him.

On May 10, a judge in California will determine if there is sufficient evidence to prosecute a woman, her brother, and their father who is a pastor, for the supposed killing of her 3-year-old daughter during an exorcism.
