A judge in Indiana has delayed the trial of a man accused of murdering two teenage girls in Delphi until October.
The trial for Richard Allen, 51, who is accused of killing 14-year-old Libby German and 13-year-old Abby Williams, will now start on October 14, according to information from WPTA..
Previously, the jury selection for the trial was supposed to begin on May 13. Allen was taken into custody on October 28, 2022, and charged with the homicides of the two girls, who were discovered deceased near the Monon High Bridge on February 14, 2017, following a visit to the bridge the day before, as reported by CrimeOnline..

Special Judge Fran Gull dismissed kidnapping charges against Allen in March and retained the murder charges against him after his lawyers contended that white nationalist pagans were the real perpetrators.
Gull is anticipated to soon make a decision on a complaint against Allen’s attorneys, Bradley Rozzi and Andrew Baldwin, for allegedly disclosing evidence on social media. They withdrew from the case late last year after Gull rebuked them, but they were reinstated by the state Supreme Court.
According to WANE, Allen’s trial was initially scheduled for October but Gull rescheduled it for May when his lawyers invoked his right to a speedy trial. She delayed it once more on Tuesday when the attorneys withdrew their motion for a speedy trial and stated that they required more time than the 15 days allocated for trial to present their case.
A hearing is planned for May 21 to May 23 to address several motions.
