The Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar mentioned, “Savannah told Kaiden to say goodbye to Dad.”
Kriger and 3-year-old Kaiden were discovered on March 19, following an Amber Alert issued for the boy the day before, according to CrimeOnline. Kriger and her ex were involved in a heated custody battle at the time, and she had a court appearance scheduled for March 18.The coroner classified the deaths as a murder-suicide in late April.

“She caused damage to personal clothing and furniture items,” Salazar remarked before departing for her own residence.
The sheriff explained, “There were some wedding dresses laid out. It is believed that she shot two rounds into her wedding portraits.”
Surveillance footage reveals Kriger picking up Kaiden from his daycare at 2:30 p.m. Approximately 45 minutes later, she sent a text to her ex-husband that said, “Say goodbye to your son,” and then apparently filmed the brief video.
Law enforcement found a firearm in the ditch alongside the bodies. The shell casings at the scene matched those found at Kriger’s residence.
