The police in Houston arrested the man they believe shot a lawyer outside a McDonald's after the lawyer got involved in a disagreement with the restaurant's staff.
Anthony Martin Landry, 58, was accused of murdering Jeffrey Limmer, 46, by shooting him. KPRC shared this information..
It's been reported that Landry shot Limmer on May 4 during an argument over his order, while Limmer tried to intervene. CrimeOnline reported this incident.When Limmer pushed Landry to the ground, Landry reacted by getting a gun from his truck and shooting Limmer twice.
Limmer died at the scene, and the suspect fled in his truck. The police issued a warrant for his arrest five days later. According to KTRK, a witness identified Landry to the police.Court documents revealed that Landry was already out on bail for assaulting a family member earlier this year when the shooting occurred.
The documents also indicated that Landry used racial insults and vulgar language when demanding a refund for his order, as per KPRC. He is currently being held in custody with no bond.
Landry has a criminal record going back to 1997, including charges of evading arrest and forgery.
Jeffrey Limmer was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law. He worked for the Houston law firm of Lewis Brisbois.
