Three individuals have died and five others injured after gunshots erupted at a late-night gathering in Arkansas.
A person identified by police as “the suspect” is one of the deceased, Jonesboro Police reported on Facebook.
The two individuals who were killed, a man and a woman, and a woman who was injured were all “known to the suspect,” according to the police.
Three other injured individuals “had no known connection to the suspect.” The police did not mention whether the fifth injured individual had any connection with the suspect.
Police did not specify how the suspect died but suggested they were shot. They did mention that “there is no active threat to the community.”
Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliott informed KAIT the shooting, which occurred at about 5 a.m., was the outcome of domestic violence.
