Georgia officials have identified a man and three children discovered deceased in a park early Wednesday morning in an apparent murder-suicide.
The man was 56-year-old Jose Plasencia, and he used to be in a relationship with the mother of the three children, but he was not their father, according to WXIA. WXIA reported.The children were Arianny Rodriguez, 13; Carlos Rodriguez, 9; and Chadal Rodriguez, 11.
Plasencia was the father of another child with the mother of the three children, as per the police. This child was injured on Tuesday and needed medical care. The mother took all four children to the hospital but allowed the other three to go with Plasencia for food while she stayed with the injured child.
According to the police, she was not able to reach him as the night went on.
As reported by CrimeOnline, a Gwinnett County Police officer found a car parked on a walking trail at Lucky Shoals Park around 1 a.m. Inside, the officer found the four bodies, all with gunshot wounds.Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Michele Phiera added, “It is tragic. Our officers will step aside and… do their job thoroughly to investigate this as a regular homicide and attempt to provide some closure to the families involved.”
