Authorities in Georgia have apprehended a ride share driver for allegedly committing rape and burglary.

As per Sandy Springs police, Le’Myrious Monaye Dawson dropped off a woman at her residence around 2:30 a.m. on May 5, then unlawfully entered her home, sexually assaulted her, and took various items. WSB reported..

He was apprehended the following day at the West End transit station, and law enforcement discovered several of the victim's possessions in his vehicle.

Law enforcement stated they were contacting other local agencies to check for similar incidents.

Dawson faces charges of theft by taking, burglary, battery, and rape. Records indicate he is currently in custody.
