The parents of a Florida teenager who was arrested for being part of the murder of a 15-year-old girl are said to have made threats to the parents of another person involved in the case, according to the Cape Coral Breeze.

39-year-old Christopher D. Horne and 36-year-old Shanice Stewart were arrested by police in Cape Coral, near Ft. Myers, on Friday for allegedly intimidating a witness and interfering with the case.

Horne and Stewart, the parents of 16-year-old Christopher Horne Jr., who is one of the two teenagers charged with the murder of 15-year-old Kayla Rincon-Miller, are facing legal action.

On March 17, a girl was fatally shot during a robbery as she and two friends were leaving a movie theater. Horne Jr. and another 16-year-old, Thomas Stein, are accused of carrying out the robbery and shooting. Stein was apprehended two days after the incident, while Horne was taken into custody on April 17.

Police allege that Horne Jr. and Stein were responsible for the robbery and shooting.

Officials claim that on March 18, one day after the shooting, Horne, Stewart, and others threatened Stein’s parents, instructing them to keep quiet and not cooperate with law enforcement, based on a statement from the Cape Coral Police Department.Horne reportedly brandished a gun toward Stein’s parents during the incident.

Horne Jr.’s aunt, 38-year-old Varaka Stewart, is also accused of threatening Stein’s parents.

Following that, the Steins informed the police that they received numerous calls over several weeks, urging them not to cooperate with the authorities. The callers purported to know individuals who could cause them harm, and warned that failure to remain silent would result in harm to them, according to Fox 4. According to Fox 4, the Steins disclosed that they received multiple threatening calls over a few weeks, advising them not to assist the police and claiming knowledge of people who could harm them..
